Induction ceremonies are formal engagements where women are officially inducted into the Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame. The ceremonies are usually conducted and attended by government officials as well as family and friends of the inductees. The 2018 Induction will take place on May 3, 2018. Event details are still being determined; please be sure to follow us on Social Media to stay informed!
We encourage everyone to submit a nomination form if you feel you know or know of a woman who has positively affected Arizona and its communities through either Agriculture, Art, Community Building, Community/Social/Political Activism, Education, Environment, Health, Humanities, Science or Volunteer. The due date for the 2018 Induction ceremony is December 15, 2017. Visit our nominations page to learn more! If you’d like to submit a story of an important woman in your life, visit our Desert Garden, which is a place where anyone can share stories or appreciation for women in their life.
We’ve had over 95 women inducted into the Women’s Hall of Fame since 1981. Each of their stories is inspiring and we encourage reading through the stories of some of the amazing women who have been inducted so far. Visit the inducted women page to browse by category of achievement.
“Our Arizona Women’s Hall of Fame honorees have achieved greatness because they were determined. If they saw a need, they filled it. One way or another, they met the challenge.”
– Dr. Reba Grandrud, Arizona Historian
