Octaviana J. Trujillo, PhD


Dr. Octaviana V. Trujillo is a Pascua Yaqui woman born in Guadalupe, AZ, who has devoted her life to bringing educational reform and change to indigenous people of Arizona.  Among her many accomplishments, she was appointed by President Obama to the Joint Public Advisory Committee of the Commission for environmental Cooperation to promote ecosystem protection and sustainable economic development.  She is a professor at Northern Arizona University and has published many articles to address economic development, climate change, and indigenous cultural inclusion.
