Betsey Bayless

A third generation Arizonan and graduate of the University of Arizona, Betsey Bayless has served her native State in many different ways for over 40 years:  Secretary of State; Chair, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors; Director State Department of Administration; Assistant Director AZ Board of Regents and CEO Maricopa Integrated Health System.  It was in this latter role that she led a financial turnaround of the MIHS:  she increased the number of physicians, created a new cardiac center and Pediatric Emergency Center, where care is provided without ability to pay. Her lifetime of service has resulted in a number of  well-deserved honors and awards.
