Karrin Taylor Robson  was born and raised in Mesa, with degrees from ASU and its law school.  She has made public service a priority for her life, advocating for a dynamic and diverse economy, a world class education system, and for a robust military in Arizona.  She has played a critical role in supporting its aerospace industry. And as a civilian working with officials to fund Luke Air Force Base properly, she has been a strong and influential voice.  Her work on the Arizona Aerospace Institute and the Mesa Proving Ground has been critical to Arizona’s military.  In recognition of Karrin’s leadership, Governor Doug Ducey appointed her to the AZ Board of Regents.  Among her most-prized awards was being tapped as an Honorary Commander with Luke AFB.
